Journey Through Hell - Meng Po's Teapot
Journey Through Hell is a group project where we are required to come up with a storyline and concepts for the short film. It is a story about a girl, Hai Qing who lost her father. As a loyal believer of Guan Yin, the Goddess or Mercy decided to lend a hand. Hai Qing had a chance to visit Hell to rescue her father, but the journey Guan Yin sent her to had a different purpose. It was a journey for her learn to how to let go.
Meng Po is an old lady who serves tea to those who are on their way to reincarnation. The tea she serves erase their memories which helps them to start anew. It is said that spider lilies are one of the key ingredients in brewing this tea.
